AKARTA: Chelsea Islan says she's proud of her work in tyro director Lukman Sardi's Reform-Era movie Di Balik 98 (Behind '98).
The 19-year-old, who was three years old during the fall of the New Order, said that it had been a challenge to project herself into the period film.
'We began shooting in 2013. In every shot, I always said to myself that it is the year 1998,' Chelsea said as quoted by kapanlagi.com.
'What happened in 1998 was a phenomenal historical event,' the actress said. 'Today's kids must know about it. The reformation inspires us to learn. From its history, we learn about the importance of peace and tolerance,' she said.
