AKARTA: Singer Andini Aisyah Hariadi, aka Andien, has collected 200 pairs of shoes belonging to Indonesian celebrities and prominent figures for a donation program, which she initiated together with her friend, presenter Iwet Ramadhan.

Titled #berShoekur — a wordplay on bersyukur (be grateful) — the program has received shoe donations from actress Dian Sastrowardoyo, singer Raisa, and her seniors like Krisdayanti, Yuni Shara and Titi DJ, as well as Jakarta’s governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama.

These shoes will be auctioned and the proceeds will be donated to a cancer foundation in Jakarta.

“All shoes can still be worn and these are the [celebrities’] favorites,” she said as quoted by tribunnews.com recently.

So far, Andien has collected Rp 140 million (US$10,502) from the auction. — JP
