AKARTA: Singer Rio Febrian plans to relocate to Yogyakarta in mid-2017, bringing his entire family, as he plans to develop a hotel business there.

“At least by July 2017 after the new school year,” the 35-year-old said as quoted by kompas.com recently.

Rio added that he would bring his wife, presenter Sabria Kono, and his two children — Jamaica Fosteriano Febrian and Kalampati Sinarra Febrian — with him to Yogyakarta.

Rio explained the relocation was an old ambition he had before he was married. Rio said he always wanted to live outside Jakarta: either in Malang, East Java, Bali, or Yogyakarta.

“It is finally Yogyakarta,” he said. “From the first time I visited the city, I had already fallen in love.”

Rio said he would run the hotel business with partners. — JP
