Go-Jek driver foiled a suspected attempt to send a package of crystal methamphetamine in Cilandak, South Jakarta, on Christmas Eve, after handing over a suspicious package to a police station.
Cilandak Police chief Comr. Sujanto said Monday that the Fatmawati Police station received the package from the driver, IP, who said he took the delivery order on Saturday night.
“However, after becoming suspicious about the contents he handed it in to the police in Fatmawati,” Sujanto said as quoted by Warta Kota.
The police opened the package, which contained what they suspect to be two packets of crystal methamphetamine, locally known as sabu sabu.
“We are still hunting for the person who ordered the ojek [motorcycle taxi],” he said. (evi)
