T

he Jakarta Education Agency has announced that the renovation of 38 school buildings, for which funds were allocated in the 2016 city budget, was almost complete.

Sopan said he would inspect the newly renovated school buildings to ensure the projects had been successfully completed, adding that contractors would soon organize a handover to the agency.

“Hopefully, studies will be able to start in the new school buildings as soon as possible," he said. Some classes have been relocated to temporary classrooms in other nearby buildings during the renovation work. (dmr)
