A

luxurious sports car was heavily damaged in an accident after it crashed into a Transjakarta lane separator in Harmoni, West Jakarta, on Wednesday.

The car, an Aston Martin, crashed into the separator at 7:30 a.m., reportedly because its driver was sleepy, said Central Jakarta Police traffic unit deputy head Comr. Lilik.

The car was carrying two people, the driver and a passenger.

"The driver was sleepy and hit the separator,” he told kompas.com on Wednesday without mentioning the name of the driver.

However, he added, both the driver and the passenger sustained no injuries and the car was still operable despite the heavy damage to its front body.(agn)
