Prashatya “Pasha” Chrismansyah, says being the son of late legendary musician Chrisye can be a challenge.

“There is a burden from being Chrisye’s son. I have talked to other children of other musicians and they feel the same,” he said as quoted by kompas.com.

According to Pasha, it is not about pressure from his father but the expectations of society.

“For example, when I was in school and I got bad marks for math, they were like ‘how could the son of Chrisye get bad marks’, which was not relevant at all,” he said.

His childhood stories were used as references for the upcoming film Chrisye starring Vino G Bastian. The film Chrisye tells the history of Chrisye’s life story from  his family to his career in country music.

Other cast members include Velove Vexia, Ray Sahetapy, Andy Arsyl, and Verdy Solaiman. The film is expected to hit the theaters in December.
