A pair of twins scored the goals. Striker Amiruddin Bagus Kahfi Alfikri scored in the fourth minute and twin sibling Amiruddin Bagas Kaffa Arrizqi scored the second goal in the 90th minute.
Right from the start, the Asia Garuda’s launched strong offensives through wingers Supriadi and Amanar, who led the way in barraging their Iranian opponents.
The efforts were rewarded with a golden opportunity when an unmarked Bagus scored in the fourth minute. The score sat at 1-0 at halftime, as reported by Kompas.com.
The second half saw Iran fight for an equalizer. But Indonesia held firm and outfoxed their opponent’s tactics, with Bagas sealing the victory after scoring the second goal.
The Asia Garuda squad now tops Group C with three points.
