As of 8 p.m. on Sunday, 181,209 people have signed up for PT MRT Jakarta’s free trial run of its service on March 18-22.

"Most of the applicants chose to depart from Bundaran HI Station [Central Jakarta] and Lebak Bulus Station [South Jakarta]," he said.
As many as 46,553 people will depart from Bundaran HI Station and 38,968 from Lebak Bulus Station.
Kamaluddin called on Jakartans to join the free trial ride as long as there are seats left. The maximum quota is aimed at ensuring safety, security and comfort for passengers.
"Our service will enhance the people's mobility while at the same time, improving the city's air quality and encourage people to switch from private vehicles to public transportation," he added. (vla)
