T

he family of an elderly woman who was found dead in Limo subdistrict, Depok, West Java, has refused to approve an autopsy to ascertain the cause of death, leaving the police no choice but to drop the investigation.

Limo Police chief Comr. Muhamad Iskandar said on Monday that the police had stopped investigating the death of a 70-year-old woman whose body was discovered naked by locals on Jl. Kasuari on Sunday night.

The police suspect that the victim died from an illness, as they found no traces of violence on the body or any indications of a crime.

“The family asked us not to perform an autopsy on her remains,” Muhamad said as reported by kompas.com.

He said the woman was buried on Monday. (das)
