Police search for man suspected of hitting running event organizer

olice are searching for the owner of a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon car, identified as PDK, for allegedly hitting LM, 34, an organizer of the MILO Jakarta International 10K running competition.

The incident took place on Jl. HR Rasuna Said in South Jakarta on Sunday morning.

Jakarta Police’s traffic law enforcement unit head Comr. Muhammad Nasir said the investigators have questioned the victim and a number of witnesses. 

“We are still searching for the suspect and are investigating the incident further,” he told kompas.com on Monday.

After allegedly hitting LM, the suspect took her to the MMC Hospital in Kuningan, South Jakarta, for medical treatment but, left the hospital while LM was still being treated.

“The victim sustained bruises on her left cheek, forehead, lips, nose, the back of her head and waist,” Nasir said.
