Prabowo appoints Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak as spokesman

erindra Party chairman Prabowo Subianto has appointed former chairman of Muhammadiyah’s youth wing, Dahnil Simanjuntak, as his spokesman.
Dahnil was also the chief spokesmen for Prabowo and his running mate Sandiaga Uno’s campaign team in the recent presidential election.
“Good evening my friends. I would like to announce that from now on @Dahnilanzar will be the Gerindra chairman’s new spokesperson,” Prabowo said on his Twitter account.
In response, Dahnil called on the people to support him in his new position. Dahnil did not specify whether he had become a member of Gerindra as a result of taking on the position.
“As of today, I have been officially appointed as the spokesperson for Gerindra’s chairman. I Hope I can fulfill my responsibilities well and I hope I can get your support,” Dahnil said as quoted by kompas.com on Monday.
In November 2018, Dahnil was interrogated as a witness by the police in a corruption case surrounding the Islam Youth Indonesia camping program, in which the police suspected a misuse of state funds in the program. (dpk/bbn)
