ity-owned PT Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Jakarta president director William Sabandar has said small enterprises will open outlets in MRT stations starting Thursday.
"The first 14 outlets [will open] starting tomorrow [Thursday]," he told reporters on Wednesday.
The 14 outlets comprise eight culinary outlets, five fashion outlets and one handcraft outlet with the locations in Lebak Bulus station, Fatmawati station and Dukuh Atas station.
The company has collaborated with the Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) to select the enterprises as vendors in the stations.
"We have curated them, thus the [selected] outlets will have good quality [products] and supported by a strong narrative. What we want to bring up is the narrative that small enterprises also sell good quality products," he said. "[Those outlets] have their own unique features. I have seen them."
William said the grand launch of all the outlets were expected to be held within two weeks.(iwa)
