A

car reportedly crashed into Senopati Pharmacy on Jl. Senopati in South Jakarta early on Sunday, killing one person who appears to be the store’s security guard.

According to Comr. Fahri Siregar from the Jakarta Traffic Police, the vehicle had been driven by a female university student identified as PKH.

The driver reportedly lost control of her car and crashed into the drugstore, hitting a man guarding the facility.

"The victim was badly injured in his abdomen. He died on the spot," Fahri said, referring to the security guard.

The victim's body was taken to nearby Fatmawati Hospital for an autopsy.

The driver, meanwhile, is being "thoroughly questioned" by the Jakarta Traffic Police, Fahri said as reported by kompas.com. (vny)
