urrent ONE heavyweight world-champion Arjan “The Singh” Bhullar aims to prove that he is the rightful leader of the pack by uniting the golden belt held by the current interim champ of the division, Anatoly Malykhin.
The Russian has been very vocal in challenging Bhullar, both on his Instagram post and in his last post-fight interview, which irritated the king of the division.
With his contract being settled, the Canadian-Indian star hopes to shut down the challenger in a dominant fashion. Bhullar returned fire to the Russian, saying that after his contract negotiation is done, he has not heard anything from the trash-talking Malykhin.
“Anatoly [Malykhin] has been very vocal, and I will do that closer to the fight and in the fight to be honest,” Bhullar said. “He hasn’t posted anything since I’ve announced I was back, he hasn’t said a thing. That shows you what kind of coward he really is and what he actually thinks of the situation.”

The verbal sparring of the two heavyweights is entertaining and leaves the fans wanting the two to actually spar in the Circle. Such a sentiment is shared by Bhullar, who admits that he cannot wait to let his fists do the talking.
While no official date has been announced, “The Singh” has some idea when the bout can take place. He revealed that he is interested in being a part of ONE Amazon Prime event that will be streamed live in North America.
“Very excited with the Amazon Prime deal. That’s real and it has happened and I’m very excited for it,” Bhullar said. “I’d love to be on that first event. Let’s do it! I’m excited for the company, excited for the future, excited for Amazon, excited for the fans. [It’s going to be ] in my backyard, the United States, and Canada!”
The world champion will inevitably cross paths with the other king of the division, but he believes that ONE Heavyweight division has become filled to the brim with talents hungry for the title. But, the former Commonwealth Games wrestling gold-medalist will battle anyone to prove that he is the top dog.
“A lot of new faces in the division…. very exciting to see… excited to get in there with them,” Bhullar shared. “I don’t want to just see them and wait around. I’d like to get in there and face them all. We have new faces, exciting faces.”
