NE featherweight world-champion Thanh Le is set to defend his title against first-ranked contender Tang Kai in the main event of ONE 160, which will be broadcasted live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Aug. 26.
Since making his promotional debut in May 2019, the Vietnamese-American has been unstoppable, riding a five-fight winning streak to hold a 13-2 overall record in mixed martial arts (MMA). More importantly, he owns a 100 percent finishing rate with 12 knockouts and one submission, making him one of the most dangerous finishers in the world at the moment.
At ONE: LIGHTS OUT this March, Le successfully defended his ONE world title for the first time by knocking out grappling ace Garry Tonon in less than a minute.
Now, he aims to continue his reign by taking out the surging Chinese athlete who has been on an absolute tear.
Tang owns a 14-2 record, has earned 86 percent of his victories by knockout and is currently riding a nine-fight winning streak.

In his most recent bout, he knocked out the previous first-ranked contender, South Korea’s Kim Jae Woong, in the first round at ONE X to secure a US$50,000 performance bonus.
Shortly after that impressive performance, he jumped on the mic to ask ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong for a world title shot against Le. Now, his wish has been granted.
