Allazov promises Superbon won’t see what’s coming in world title matchup Chingiz Allazov.

ickboxing superstar Chingiz Allazov will meet ONE Featherweight Kickboxing world champion Superbon Singha Mawynn in the co-main event of ONE Fight Night 2: Xiong vs. Lee III on Oct. 1.

The news comes after Allazov won the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix Championship earlier this year.

“Chinga” is eager to continue his impressive momentum when he takes on the divisional king. After all, he defeated three tough opponents in the tournament to claim the coveted silver belt this past March at ONE X.

The Azerbaijani-Belarusian star made it clear that the world champion would be in for a shock when they squared off.

“My last two or three fights, I have said I have a surprise for my opponents. My last fight with Sitthichai, I said, ‘I have a surprise for him. I am not the same fighter I was before with him. I am another Chingiz Allazov.’ Now, we have a good plan for Superbon,” Allazov said.

“When I go to fight with Superbon, I want him to say after the first round, ‘Oh, what happened? He has a lot of speed, a lot of power, a lot of things.’”

The 29-year-old striker’s performances in the Grand Prix showed his undeniable threat in the stacked featherweight kickboxing division.

He dropped Samy Sana in 39 seconds of their quarterfinal bout at ONE: FIRST STRIKE last October and finished Smokin’ Jo Nattawut within two minutes in the semifinals at ONE: ONLY THE BRAVE in January.

To top off his dominant run, Allazov scored a unanimous-decision win over old foe Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in the tournament final to earn the silver belt, the world title shot and some redemption.

His co-main event battle on Oct. 1 promises to be a difficult challenge for “Chinga”. Superbon is on a three-fight winning streak and has yet to lose inside the circle.

Moreover, his shocking finish of striking legend Giorgio “The Doctor” Petrosyan to win the featherweight strap last October displayed just how dangerous he is.

Despite his opponent’s status, Allazov is confident that he will leave the Singapore Indoor Stadium as the new divisional king at ONE Fight Night 2 – and he’s already planning his next steps.

“Now I have the fight with Superbon, and inshallah [God willing], I will take the belt. I will go to fight, and I will go to victory. After that fight, maybe I will fight Grigorian, Petrosyan – all the fighters who want to fight with me,” he said.

“Now, my concentration is 100 percent on the fight. If he doesn’t have the same focus, then I will kill him. The same for me, if I don’t have focus, then I will have a problem.”
