‘I want to knock her out’: Stamp Fairtex reveals extra motivation to beat Jihin Radzuan Stamp Fairtex (left) in her fight against Angela Lee at ONE X in March 2022

a href="https://onefc.com/athletes/stamp-fairtex" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Stamp Fairtex has built a reputation as one of the most feared strikers in combat sports, and she will have a chance to prove it once again at ONE Fight Night 2: Xiong vs. Lee III on Saturday morning, Oct. 1.

The 24-year-old megastar, who previously won ONE World Titles in Muay Thai and kickboxing, is pursuing another gold in mixed martial arts (MMA). A win over fellow atomweight star Jihin Radzuan at the Singapore Indoor Stadium could bring her closer to that goal.

With that in mind, the Thai martial artist aims to get a knockout win to exalt her name in front of the North American audience – who can watch the event on Amazon’s Prime Video in United States prime time.

“I think being part of Amazon Prime Video will make me more famous and get more fans worldwide. It is a great opportunity to add another achievement to my resume. And if I can perform impressively, they may ask me to come back on stage again or more often. And of course, I will also make more money,” said Stamp, who emerged from humble beginnings in Thailand’s Rayong province.

Stamp understands that her Malaysian counterpart is equally eager to get an emphatic win, but she believes that she has the weapons to get her hand raised.

“I’ll use my striking to fight with her. But it’s okay if I am brought to the ground. I’ll just do my best to defend myself and try to get back on my feet again,” she said.

“As usual, I will bring some heavy Muay Thai weapons to the fight. I intend to utilize my sharp and swift weapons like elbows and knees rather than kicks because I’ve seen that she likes to catch her opponent's legs. I will kick less and use heavier and sharper weapons to stun her. And she won't be able to put pressure on me.”

“I will defend myself from her takedown and always try to stay in the middle of the cage, avoiding my back touching the cage wall.”

“Muay Thai is my strength, and I can do my best. And if possible, I want to knock her out because I expect a bonus this time,” she added.

Both competitors share identical 8-2 records in MMA, and while Stamp is known as ferocious striker with heavy punches and kicks, Radzuan claimed that her opponent’s striking was overrated.

Radzuan is a Wushu World Champion who loves to strike, but if her past fights are any indication, she is equally dangerous in stand-up and ground games.

“Let's test it in the Circle. Let's see who is faster and more accurate,” Stamp said.

Before Jihin Radzuan steps into the Circle, be sure to catch all the action at ONE 161: Petchmorakot vs. Tawanchai on NETVERSE, Vidio.com, Kaskus TV and MAXstream at 5 p.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB) on Thursday, Sept. 29. The main card will follow on NETVERSE, Vidio.com, Kaskus TV and MAXstream at 7:30 p.m. WIB. Also, NET TV will air a same-day delay at 10:30 p.m. WIB.
