he opportunity to battle ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon Singha Mawynn has been a long time coming for ONE featherweight kickboxing world grand prix champion Chingiz Allazov.
Initially scheduled to meet in September until an injury forced Allazov to pull out, the striking superstars will finally go toe-to-toe in the co-main event of ONE Fight Night 5 on Dec. 3 inside the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila.
“Chinga” tore through the divisional grand prix to earn the coveted silver belt and a chance to challenge the world champion. And with his deep arsenal of weapons, there is every chance he will offer a dangerous challenge to Superbon’s crown.
The Azerbaijan-Belarusian powerhouse finished his first two fights in the illustrious tournament in the opening round. Both Samy Sana and “Smokin” Jo Nattawut fell victim to his ruthless striking in the early stages of the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively.
When he faced old rival Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in the Grand Prix Final at ONE X in March of this year, the 29-year-old striker gained redemption for a previous defeat to the Lumpinee Stadium world champion by scoring a hard-fought unanimous decision victory.
Now, with a new date set for his world title shot, Allazov will be honing his skills for a fierce battle against a dangerously in-form opponent.

He remains undefeated in the circle and his dominance is undeniable, but “Chinga” has defeated tough opponents in the past. And after nearly nine months of anticipation, fans can be confident that Allazov will put on a show and make the most of his time in the circle when he squares off with Superbon.
