Health Minister Terawan Agus Putranto said the government would take one step at a time and prioritize its citizens on the World Dream cruise ship who were “in a more threatening position” than those on the Diamond Princess.
Another five Indonesian crew members of the Diamond Princess have tested positive for the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19, bringing the total number of Indonesians infected on board the cruise ship in Japan to nine as of Monday, the government has confirmed
“We will not evacuate infected citizens because they have to undergo treatment in Japan. We will only evacuate the uninfected ones. However, it is important to note that this is different from Wuhan since they are on a ship,” says minister.
