View all search resultsThe film -- starring Chinese-Canadian actor Simu Liu as a former assassin in the shadow of an evil father (Hong Kong legend Tony Leung) -- has so far earned $176.9 million in US and Canadian theaters, industry tracker Exhibitor Relations said.
The movie, starring Scarlett Johansson as the cat-suited superspy, took in an additional $60 million streaming on Disney Plus (at $29.99 for subscribers), and $78 million internationally, for an impressive global total of $218 million.
Actor Simu Liu shared his feelings of unhappiness over Kim’s Convenience via his Facebook account on Wednesday. During the show, he felt there was lack of mentoring from the producing team. He also complained about the low pay for the cast even though the show was successful.
But a lot has changed since Iron Man and friends saved the world in that summer's all-time record-grossing blockbuster "Avengers: Endgame" (and mopped up some loose plot points in "Spider-Man: Far From Home" shortly thereafter.)
