View all search resultsSoutheast Asian superheroes have finally entered the gaming limelight as Apple’s App Store highlighted iconic characters from several countries in the region as featured in one of the hottest mobile multiplayer video games in recent years, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
The General Crimes Investigation Directorate of the Jakarta Police is accusing a gamer of having stolen Rp 1.85 billion (US$127,498) to purchase items on a popular multiplayer online game called Mobile Legends.
Indonesia is the 17th biggest gaming market worldwide with estimated revenue of US$1.1 billion as of January, according to gaming market research firm Newzoo. It is the largest in this category in Southeast Asia, followed by Thailand with $667 million, Malaysia with $633 million and Vietnam with $472 million.
