The announcement was made during a press briefing on Friday, when the city-owned developer PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) and Formula E Operation revealed the circuit design.

New revenue formula?

The protracted political rivalry aside, Jakarta seems to be ill-prepared for the race. The polemic over the race track only shows the Jakarta government did not involve as many stakeholders as possible in the decision making.
