View all search resultsIndonesia has expressed regret after the UNSC again failed to adopt a resolution on Gaza calling for a ceasefire and unhindered humanitarian access, which was stymied by a veto from key Israeli ally the United States.
The United States on Wednesday vetoed a draft UN Security Council resolution that demanded an "immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire" between Israel and Hamas militants in Gaza and unhindered aid access across the war-torn enclave.
The global community is standing on a precipice as Israel's war in Gaza continues to erode the so-called liberal international order, wherein some Western states have demonstrated double standards in applying its rules and values.
"Russian UN Security Council presidency on April 1 is a bad joke. Russia has usurped its seat; it's waging a colonial war; its leader is a war criminal wanted by the ICC for kidnapping children," Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba wrote on Twitter.
