Wonderful Indonesia takes part in UNWTO Award-Tourism Video Competition

W

onderful Indonesia tourism brand has taken part in UNWTO (United Nation World Tourism Organization) Award-Tourism Video Competition. The tourism ministry submitted a video titled The Journey Through Wonderful to compete in People’s Choice Awards category to compete against more than 60 tourism promotional videos from all over the world.

The Wonderful Indonesia video showcases several popular Indonesian destinations such as Yogyakarta, Bali, Raja Ampat, Sembalun in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Gili Trawangan and Wakatobi as well as cultural elements such as batik and Balinese dance.

The video which gets the most online votes will be crowned as the winner in this category, online voting can be done here:  http://lmd.unwto.org/unwto-tourism-video-competition-2017.

Apart from voting, the public can also contribute by sharing the video on their social media account using hashtag #UNWTOGAChina.

“Following the invitation from tourism minister Arief Yahya, the 200 staff members of Batam View Beach Resort have logged in and voted for Indonesia in the competition,” said Batam View Beach Resort general manager, Andy Fong.

“We hope Wonderful Indonesia will take the first place, by voting we’re helping Mr. Arief Yahya and the tourism ministry who have worked hard in promoting Wonderful Indonesia tourism brand to the world,” added Andy.

The competition is held to commemorate the 22nd UNWTO General Assembly that will take place in Chengdu, China this September. (asw)
