Passengers at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport can expect to enjoy free takjil (light snacks) during the fasting month.
The airport will prepare up to 3,700 boxes of takjil for passengers at Terminal 1, 2 and 3 every day.
During their time at the airport, travelers will also be able to enjoy a culinary and lifestyle festival named Halal Park at Plaza Terminal 3, which is slated to open at the end of May and feature 40 tenants from various businesses in the food and beverage, retail, fashion, beauty and bank sectors.
The airport's PR officer Denny Irawan said that passengers could expect to purchase affordable traditional foods at the Halal Park.
“The food won't be pricey," he said as quoted by kompas.com.
The Halal Park, which will occupy an 8,000 square-meter space is set to host a total of 120 tenants after its completion. (gis/kes)
