Immigration offices across the country reopened their online queueing service for passport applicants on Friday.
The Immigration Directorate General's public relations and public affairs head, Arvin Gumilang, told tempo.co on Friday that the app-based service was accessible for both Android and iOS users after having been suspended since late March due to the pandemic.
"All immigration offices will also reopen next week," said Arvin.
The issuance of new passports and renewal of passports due to expiration, damage, loss or data changes are among the services provided by the office in the "new normal" period.

"Those who apply for a new passport or are renewing their passport due to expiration are required to do so via the Aplikasi Pendaftaran Antrean Paspor Online [Online Passport Queue Registration App]. [However], applicants who have lost or damaged their passport can come directly to the immigration office in accordance with the adjusted quota," said Arvin.
These new rules are applicable to both regular passport and e-passport holders.
In line with government protocol for the "new normal" era, the office is limiting the number of applicants to 50 percent of the usual quota. All visitors are also required to wear face masks, wash their hands and undergo body temperature checks prior to entering the office.
Immigration officials will reportedly wear gloves and face masks. (kes)
