Third round of Indonesian aid arrives in Turkey, more to come
The third round of Indonesian humanitarian aid arrived in Turkey’s southern city of Adana on Tuesday, alongside a team of officials led by Coordinating Human Development and Culture Minister Muhadjir Effendy, a Thursday statement by the Indonesian embassy in Ankara said.

he third round of Indonesian humanitarian aid arrived in Turkey’s southern city of Adana on Tuesday, alongside a team of officials led by Coordinating Human Development and Culture Minister Muhadjir Effendy, a Thursday statement by the Indonesian embassy in Ankara said.
Officially sent by President Joko “Jokowi '' Widodo as Indonesia’s representative, Muhadjir conveyed Jakarta’s “deep condolences” to Turkey's government and civilians, following the devastating earthquakes early this month that killed over 30,000 people.
“We will continue to provide support and assistance, both in the form of personnel, including those already here. [...] We will also send various kinds of aid, in the form of logistics and equipment needed by the victims,” said Muhadjir.
Previously, Indonesia sent two rounds of humanitarian aid, delivering emergency supplies as well as operating field hospitals amid an ever-increasing death toll in Ankara and Damascus. Personnel from the Indonesia Search and Rescue (INASAR) team and professional health volunteers have been operating their assistance for the past week.
While Jakarta’s assistance was initially set to be delivered in three batches, Muhadjir said this latest help would not be Indonesia’s last, as plans to be involved in Turkey's future rehabilitation and reconstruction phases were in the pipeline.
“As Indonesia has much experience in dealing with earthquakes, [...] there is a possibility that we will participate in Turkey's rehabilitation and reconstruction. We will pass on our familiarity,” he asserted.
