ndonesia has strongly condemned an attack that occurred on Monday against several Ukrainian public facilities, including a children’s hospital, but fell short of attributing the attack to any particular country or party.

“These attacks violate international law. There are rules in law,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued on Thursday.

“Indonesia urges peace efforts to continue, thus the war in Ukraine can be stopped,” it continued.

Multiple public facilities were severely damaged after Russian forces conducted attacks in several cities across Ukraine on Monday, killing more than 42 civilians including children and injuring at least 190 people, according to the Ukrainian authorities.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia launched dozens of missiles toward five towns and cities in the southern and eastern part of the country as well as Kyiv, AFP reported.

The bombing on Kyiv hit the Okhmatdyt pediatric hospital, the country’s largest children’s hospital, severely damaging the building’s structure and killing at least two people, drawing international ire and accusations of Moscow potentially having committed a war crime.
