tate-owned Bank Mandiri has confirmed that customers can make balance checks and cash withdrawals free of charge at Link ATMs bearing the Mandiri logo. This is in accordance with the agreement, effective from June 1, that fees for balance checks and cash withdrawals will only be imposed for Bank Mandiri customers at non-Bank Mandiri Link ATMs.

The stipulation also applies to customers of banks enlisted as members of the State-owned Bank Association (Himbara), namely BRI, Bank BNI and Bank BTN. Effective June 1, transactions made by Himbara will be based on the agreed cost adjustment scheme, Under the scheme, the fees for balance checks and cash withdrawals are Rp 2,500 and Rp 5,000, respectively, while the fee for transfers among Himbara banks is retained at Rp 4,000 per transaction.

Bank Mandiri senior vice president of transaction banking retail sales Thomas Wahyudi explained that transactions using the Link ATM Channel are more economical compared with those using ATMs outside the Mandiri Link ATM network.
