ank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) is actively participating in the success of the government’s Gotong Royong (mutual cooperation) vaccination program, which is being carried out to achieve herd immunity against COVID-19. The procurement of vaccines under the Gotong Royong scheme is regulated in Health Ministerial Regulation No. 10/2021. In this regulation it is stipulated that vaccinations are carried out on employees and their families with company funding.

BRI will carry out Gotong Royong vaccinations for BRI employees. BRI is cooperating with Kimia Farma for the implementation of employee and family vaccinations. Meanwhile, specifically for BRIMedika, BRI has assigned the participants and committee swab tests, preparation of the Sinopharm vaccine storage chiller, preparation of a mini intensive care unit (ICU) as well as all equipment and medical personnel. In addition, BRIMedika has also prepared an ambulance and a referral hospital if there are follow-up events after immunization (KIPI).

BRI president director Sunarso revealed that BRI was participating in the Gotong Royong vaccination scheme in order to accelerate herd immunity while protecting BRI workers and their families against the spread of COVID-19. “Today, 500 employees’ families were vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, BRI has prioritized people first, meaning that the safety of employees and their families and customers is a top priority. Through this vaccination, it reinforces that commitment,” said Sunarso.

To increase protection for both employees and customers, BRI has established strict health protocols, including body temperature checks, the obligation to wear a mask as well as physical distancing requirements for every customer who comes to a BRI outlet. BRI also urges customers to use its services without having to visit a BRI outlet. This can be done through various forms of digital banking, such as BRImo, BRI Internet Banking and BRI Mobile Banking, which can be used 24 hours a day, anywhere you are. In addition, the public can carry out transactions with ease through the BRI ATM and CRM network, of which there are more than 23,000 throughout Indonesia and more than 466,000 BRILink agents spread across 51,650 villages across the country.
