akarta Game On 2026 is set to take place from Oct. 16 to 18 at The Brick Hall, Fatmawati City Center, South Jakarta. Embracing a gaming festival concept, the event seamlessly integrates competition, entertainment, community building and industry networking into a single platform. The event is open to the public completely free of charge.

The festival arrives at a significant moment leading up to Jakarta’s five-century milestone in 2027. It serves as a benchmark for the city as it reaffirms its ongoing transformation into a competitive, creative global city that remains highly relevant to the needs of future generations.

A key attraction of Jakarta Game On is its wide array of free-to-enter esports tournaments, featuring popular titles such as Mobile Legends, PUBG, Honor of Kings, EAFC 27, Tekken 8, Efootball, Trading Card Games (TCG), Tamiya and Beyblade. Offering a total prize pool of Rp 92.5million, the event provides players the chance to showcase their skills while immersing themselves in a broader gaming experience.

Beyond the competition arenas, attendees can enjoy various programs and activities, including music performances, cosplay and coswalk events, alongside diverse food and beverage booths designed to engage both the gaming community and the general public.

Jakarta Game On is envisioned as a catalyst for building this ecosystem and strengthening Jakarta’s position as a creative and digital hub, in which the gaming industry plays a vital role. Today, gaming has evolved far beyond entertainment; it is a global creative economy ecosystem encompassing technology, intellectual property (IP), content creation, esports, events and investment, creating exciting new career paths for the younger generation.

Furthermore, Jakarta Game On aspires to evolve into a flagship international-scale gaming event, cementing Jakarta's presence on the Asian gaming map. Drawing inspiration from major conventions like gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show and Tokyo Game Show, Jakarta holds the immense potential to establish a global gaming hub that unites communities, talent and industry players from Indonesia and abroad.

“As we approach Jakarta’s five-century anniversary, we are discussing not only the city’s long journey but also the kind of Jakarta we wish to build for the future. Jakarta must continue to be a space for creativity, innovation, technology and the younger generation. We hope that Jakarta Game On can grow alongside its ecosystem and become an integral part of Jakarta’s journey toward becoming a creative and competitive global city,” said Andhika Permata, head of the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency.

Puji Hastuti, head of the Creative Economy Division at the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, echoed this sentiment, expressing hopes that Jakarta Game On will serve as the initial step toward realizing this aspiration.

“We hope Jakarta Game On continues to grow into a platform that brings together the entire gaming industry ecosystem. Looking ahead, the goal is for Jakarta to host an international-scale gaming event capable of attracting industry players and visitors from various countries, while providing a larger stage for local developers, IPs, creators and talent,” Puji concluded.
