M

inistry of Communications and Informatics Republic of Indonesia (Kominfo) has published Pemiludamaipedia. Similar to an encyclopedia, Pemiludamaipedia consists of all the information regarding the presidential election, legislative election and regional head elections that will occur in 2024.

“Pemiludamaipedia is Kominfo’s effort to meet the public’s need for information on the 2024 elections. This electronic book can be used as a reference for the public on various matters related to the elections,” said Communications and Informatics Minister Budi Arie Setiadi.

Pemiludamaipedia not only shows information regarding the elections in text, it will also be in the form of infographics and videos. The electronic book is a living document which can be updated at any time according to developments in the election implementation. It can be accessed at http://s.id/pemilucepatpedia .

Pemiludamaipedia contains the history of elections, their principles, miscellaneous matters and objectives. This electronic book also displays profiles of presidential and vice presidential candidates, legislative members and political parties, as well as the 2024 election schedule.

We can interact with Pemiludamaipedia. We can even check if we have been included in the list of permanent voters through Pemiludamaipedia.

We can check hoaxes on Pemiludamaipedia. Since January, the ministry has detected 171 election hoaxes. The public can also report hoaxes through Pemiludamaipedia.

Political hoaxes have often been blamed as the root cause of conflicts and polarization among the general public. Pemiludamaipedia is aimed at achieving peaceful elections by displaying real information.

“I hope that Pemiludamaipedia will become a powerful weapon in fighting political hoaxes. I invite us all to make the 2024 elections peaceful and civilized,” said Budi Arie.

Pemiludamaipedia also builds a community monitoring function. The people can report it if they suspect election violations through Pemiludamaipedia.

Voting is the democratic right of the people. Pemiludamaipedia also contains messages that encourage people to participate and exercise their rights to vote in the Feb. 14, 2024 election.

Feb. 14 also coincides with Valentine’s Day. Pemiludamaipedia invites the people to vote as an expression of love for the future of our country and nation.

To exercise their right to vote, the people need other rights, such as to have the correct information. Pemiludamaipedia strives to fulfil the rights of the people to access the correct information in order for them to be able to exercise their rights to choose properly.

Pemiludamaipedia, through the information that it displays, guides the people to make choices wisely. “We believe that the correct information on Pemiludamaipedia will help people make the right decisions, choose the right candidates, in the 2024 elections,”
