enetic analysis examines the building blocks of the human body to detect risks of disease long before any potential onset of symptoms. Asa Ren Pte Ltd considers itself a local pioneer in the field, which is expected to experience rapid growth in the coming years.

The global DNA sequencing market is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 14.7 percent from US$11.06 billion in 2023 to 37.99 billion in 2032 according to a report by Precedence Research, which also predicts rapid growth in the Asia-Pacific region.

In an interview with The Jakarta Post's Yohana Belinda, Asa Ren founder and CEO Aloysius Liang discussed the future of genomic health care and how integrating genomics with artificial intelligence (AI) could enhance Indonesia’s health outcomes.

Driven by a personal experience of sickness in his family, Aloysius sees genomic health care as a way to improve diagnosis and treatment in the country.

The second wave of health care was characterized by reactive treatment, with your parents bringing you to a doctor when you didn’t feel well. But now people realize […] a flaw in our medical system.
