T Daya Intiguna Yasa (MR.D.I.Y. Indonesia), Indonesia's largest home goods retailer, has officially opened its second flagship store at Summarecon Mall Bekasi 2 in Bekasi, West Java.

The new store's opening is part of the company's efforts to enhance the family shopping experience through a flagship store concept that is increasingly convenient, organized and easily accessible.

Following its first flagship store opening in Jakarta in 2024, the choice of Bekasi as the location for the second flagship store was made not only for its market potential and relevance, but also for its historical significance as the city where MR.D.I.Y. first began its journey in Indonesia in 2017.

As a primary residential city for the urban communities supporting Jakarta and one of the fastest-growing cities in the Greater Jakarta area, Bekasi reflects the dynamics and needs of modern Indonesian families. According to data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), Bekasi’s population is estimated to reach 2.64 million in 2025, with a growing number of young families calling the city home.

Summarecon Mall Bekasi itself is one of the busiest shopping centers in Bekasi, recording over 21 million visitors throughout 2024. With its "Family Mall" concept, the mall aligns with the characteristics of young families in Bekasi and strengthens its relevance as the location of the MR.DI.Y. Indonesia flagship store.

Edwin Cheah, president director of MR.DI.Y. Indonesia, said the new flagship store comes with a fresher concept and a focus on improving the customer experience.

“We have made various updates to the store layout and design to provide customers with a more comfortable and intuitive shopping experience. This includes neater and more accessible shelves for featured products, more informative category and product descriptions to aid navigation and an enhanced shopping flow that makes product exploration more enjoyable. We want every customer who visits to have a better experience, without changing our commitment to affordable prices."

Through this new flagship store, MR.DI.Y. Indonesia offers a more premium and comfortable shopping space with a diverse product category and interactive elements.

Standing at nearly 1,100 square meters, the store offers more than 18,000 product categories, including a DIY corner with a revamped concept to provide more engaging inspiration for customers exploring various household needs and creative projects.

Despite its premium and unique concept, product prices remain the same as in all other MR.D.I.Y. Indonesia stores to ensure affordability. Furthermore, to commemorate the opening of its second flagship store, MR.D.I.Y. Indonesia is also offering a special promotion in the form of free merchandise such as umbrellas, tumblers, giant shopping bags and other gifts.

Since its arrival in Indonesia, MR.D.I.Y. has grown to more than 1,200 stores nationwide, reflecting the company's progressive and sustainable expansion and commitment to staying closer to the community.
