his summer, the St. Regis invites guests to partake in the House of Celebration – an expedition of culinary tastes and traditions done in collaboration with chefs from St. Regis destinations including Jakarta and Bali.

The House of Celebration is a curation of exceptional moments throughout the year with limited-edition cultural, fashion and dining experiences that highlight the St. Regis’ beloved rituals and create new immersive journeys across the best addresses.

Drawing inspiration from the world of haute couture, House of Celebration – Summer Season transforms The St. Regis Jakarta and The St. Regis Bali Resort into a culinary playground, offering exclusive and memorable experiences that will tantalize the taste buds and ignite the senses. 

Revamping into a House of Celebration, The St. Regis Jakarta presented a series of ecstatic experiences for guests to immerse themselves in.

From July 5 to Thursday guests indulged in The Batavia Mary, a signature cocktail exclusively served at The St. Regis Bar, inspired by the multicultural culinary heritage found throughout Indonesia. A combination of locally made Balinese arak, cuka and sambal oelek, The Batavia Mary is a representation of the unique and bold flavors of Jakarta, served  in a highball glass over one spear ice cube and garnished with a lemongrass stalk and a rempeyek kacang cracker with a small bowl of pickled acar as a palette cleanser.

The Batavia Mary Raising The Bar at The St. Regis Bar is a series of exceptional mixology events that takes the cocktail experience to new heights, featuring Max Venning from Three Sheets London on Aug. 18 and Paulo Naranjo from Republic Bar Singapore on Aug. 25.

An exquisite gastronomic journey awaits in the upscale urban dining destination J.J.A., as Chef Oscar Perez presented a special set menu to celebrate Independence Day on Aug. 17 thoughtfully paired with exquisite wines.

Meanwhile, the Nusantara Afternoon Tea curated by Chef Kevin Lee allowed guests to savor the rich flavors of Indonesia from Aug. 14  to 19 at The Drawing Room. 

An immersive culinary experience indulged aficionados at the Nusantara Buffet at Bel Étage from Aug. 14 to 19, where the extensive spread of authentic Indonesian delicacies showcased the diverse flavors of the archipelago. 

Elevating the Summer season of House of Celebration to extraordinary miles, the masterful Chef Agung Gede from The St. Regis Bali Resort collaborated with The St. Regis Jakarta to deliver an artistic culinary innovation at Maisonette in The St. Regis Jakarta.

As the executive chef of Kayuputi at The St. Regis Bali, chef Agung Gede won the Indonesian Bocuse d'Or selection during the 9th Salon Culinaire in Jakarta in April 2013. He also represented Indonesia in the World Chef Battlefield 2019 competition, where his team won the Champion of the Masters title. In 2019, he was rewarded as Chef of The Year in Bali’s Best Eats. 

From Thursday to Friday, chef Agung Gede showcased the Balinese-inspired menu at Maisonette, presenting Amuse, the “Lombok” oyster custard with smoked shrimp’s tartare Panipuri;  “Sumberkima” Coral Trout with carpaccio, pomelo, pickled jicama, sea grapes, “Tapsai”  honey and citrus emulsion; “Sawangan” Octopus complete with heritage black rice porridge, aromatic vegetable crumble, kemangi, lemongrass with coconut milk espuma; Wagyu Beef Rump Cap with Archipelago spices slow roasted rump cap, “Plaga” farm  seasonal vegetable, “Pangi” spice beef jus; and “Mayungan” Pineapple with sous vide pineapple, coconut milk mousse and fermented pineapple sorbet.
