he Bakti BUMN Volunteers program (RBB) is a collaborative effort among state-owned enterprises (SOEs) aimed at achieving the goals of the social and environmental responsibility programs of all SOEs in Indonesia. This initiative provides an opportunity for all employees of the SOEs Ministry and SOEs to voluntarily participate in social and environmental responsibility programs.
PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM), as the organization in charge for Dusun Butuh in Magelang regency, Central Java, along with the Bakti BUMN volunteers, will offer training in vegetable harvesting, drone certification and training for Mekaar customers. This training will be supported by volunteers and will cover waste management and the use of waste shredders, as well as simple financial management (BRILink).
Volunteer-led vegetable harvesting training will be provided to farmers in Nepal Van Java as an active effort to explore the natural resource potential of Dusun Butuh.
In addition to agricultural environmental initiatives, it is also providing drone usage training and certification to 10 members of the local youth organization, who work as tourist guides in Nepal Van Java. These individuals will then assist Bakti volunteers in creating engaging content for competitions.
Furthermore, it will offer training to PNM Mekaar customers in this area to educate them on the importance of understanding financial products and ways to earn additional income. One approach is to become a BRILink Mekaar agent.
Arief Mulyadi, president director of PT PNM, explained that this activity represented a joint commitment by all SOEs. "Bakti BUMN will benefit everyone, from children to their parents, and it will have a lasting impact on all regions. Nepal Van Java village has unique and significant potential, so we aim to enhance it through appropriate training and support to fully capture and develop this potential," he said.
One of the Bakti BUMN participants, Niken, who lived and studied near Nepal Van Java decades ago, shared her sentiments. "I chose Magelang for a reason; part of me is still here. I am delighted to share our experiences with the children of Nepal Van Java. When I meet the community here, I see hope in their eyes, a hope that their dreams can grow and become their aspirations. I hope this activity opens the eyes of the children here, showing them that there is still hope to continue building this village together."
