Kejagung usulkan hukuman mati bagi tersangka korupsi di Pertamina

Jaksa Agung ST Burhanuddin mengusulkan agar tersangka kasus korupsi impor BBM di Pertamina dapat dijatuhi hukuman mati. Menurutnya, hal itu sepadan dengan kejahatan pidana yang dilakukan di masa pandemi COVID-19, yang merupakan bencana nasional.

Kejaksaan Agung (Kejagung) membuka kemungkinan mengajukan hukuman mati bagi tersangka kasus korupsi impor BBM yang terjadi di PT Pertamina.

Dalam beberapa minggu terakhir, Kejagung telah menetapkan sembilan tersangka yang diduga terlibat dalam kasus korupsi impor BBM tersebut. Kejahatan itu diperkirakan merugikan negara hingga hampir Rp1 kuadriliun.

Enam dari sembilan tersangka merupakan petinggi di anak perusahaan PT Pertamina, yaitu Pertamina Patra Niaga, termasuk sang Direktur Utama, PT Riva Siahaan. Sisanya merupakan petinggi perusahaan migas swasta, di antaranya adalah Kerry Adrianto, putra taipan minyak Riza Chalid.

Para tersangka diduga memanipulasi transaksi impor dan ekspor minyak mentah milik PT Pertamina (Persero) sejak 2018 hingga 2023. Caranya, mereka seolah-olah mengurangi produksi kilang untuk memaksa impor melalui tender. Tender ini pun dicurangi dengan harga melambung. Skema itu juga melibatkan dugaan pengadaan bensin bersubsidi beroktan rendah, untuk dijual secara curang dengan harga lebih tinggi.

Dalam jumpa pers pada Kamis 6 Maret, Jaksa Agung ST Burhanuddin mengatakan bahwa pihaknya kemungkinan akan mengajukan tuntutan hukuman mati bagi sembilan tersangka. Landasannya adalah alasan bahwa tindak pidana korupsi tersebut terjadi pada masa pandemi COVID-19, yang dimulai pada 2020.
