Presiden Prabowo Subianto mengakhiri kunjungan kenegaraannya ke Brasil dengan menegaskan kembali komitmen Indonesia untuk memperkuat kerja sama bilateral dengan negara di Amerika Selatan tersebut. Kedua negara ekonomi berkembang ini berupaya memperkuat hubungan di tengah tekanan tarif perdagangan yang diberlakukan Amerika Serikat, serta perubahan tatanan internasional.

Usai tampil perdana di KTT BRICS ke-17 di Rio de Janeiro awal pekan ini, Prabowo terbang ke Brasilia untuk melakukan pembicaraan bilateral dengan Presiden Brasil Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

Pada Rabu, kehadiran Prabowo disambut meriah dengan parade militer di Palácio do Planalto, pusat pemerintahan dan tempat kerja resmi presiden. Setelah itu, kedua pemimpin dan delegasi mereka melanjutkan diskusi tentang potensi bidang kerja sama. 

Dalam konferensi pers bersama setelah pertemuan tersebut, Prabowo menekankan pentingnya percepatan kerja sama antara Indonesia dan Brasil, khususnya di bidang pertanian, energi, dan pertahanan. Ia tambahkan bahwa kedua negara berpotensi memperoleh manfaat yang signifikan melalui kemitraan yang lebih erat.

“Kita sama-sama merasa punya begitu banyak kesamaan. Kita punya begitu banyak sumber daya yang dapat saling menguntungkan, tidak hanya dalam perdagangan dan industri, tetapi juga di banyak bidang lainnya,” ujarnya.
