President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has shrugged off an insult from critic Rocky Gerung.

When asked to comment on the insult from Rocky, who called the President a scoundrel, Jokowi said he would not make a big deal out of the verbal abuse.

"Those were small fry. I just focus on my work," Jokowi told reporters on the sidelines of an event in Central Jakarta on Wednesday.

On Monday, a group of Jokowi supporters, who identified themselves as Bara JP, filed a complaint against Rocky to the Jakarta Police, a YouTube personality known for his biting commentary against the President.

Members of Bara JP accused Rocky of insulting the President for a statement he made on July 29 during a labor union event in Bekasi, West Java.

In the statement, Rocky criticized Jokowi's latest trip to China as a marketing ploy aimed at offering up infrastructure projects in the new capital, Nusantara.
