est Java gubernatorial candidate Dedi Mulyadi and his running mate Erwan Setiawan have a strong lead in the province’s upcoming regional election with more than three quarters of respondents saying they support the pair, a survey by pollster Indikator Politik Indonesia has found.

The survey, conducted by Indikator from Oct. 3 to 12, polled 1,200 respondents of voting age in all cities and regencies in West Java, with a margin of error of 2.9 percent.

According to the survey, 75.7 percent of respondents support former Purwakarta regent and Gerindra Party politician Dedi and former Sumedang deputy regent Erwan in the Nov. 27 election.
