iss Tourism Indonesia 2015 Dikna Faradiba took home four awards from the 2016 Miss Tourism International competition held in Malaysia on Saturday.

Kompas.com reported that Dikna won Best National Costume, Miss Glowing Glojas, Most Prolific on Social Media and Miss Southeast Asia Tourism Ambassador 2016/2017.

For the Best National Costume category, Dikna appeared on stage wearing traditional Betawi attire designed by Jember Fashion Carnival president Dynand Fariz. Her red blouse, dark skirt and unique headpiece displaying Betawi flower-shaped cookies and a phoenix managed to grab the judges' attention.

This is not the first time for Indonesia to bring home the Best National Costume award in a international pageant. The country won a similar prize at the World Travel Market in London, Internationale Tourismus-Börse in Berlin, Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, Miss Universe 2016, as well as Miss Supranational 2014 and 2015.

In addition to the awards, Dikna was also named among the top five finalists alongside Brazil, Mexico, New Zealand and Australia. Although she did not win first prize, she stayed in the competition longer than her predecessor, who only made it to the top 10. (jes/kes)
