ack in November 2016, during the 10th anniversary of the “Code Geass” franchise, it was announced that a new anime will debut to tie in with the events of the previews TV anime series.
It was also confirmed that protagonist Lelouch, once debated to have perished at the end of “Code Geass R2″, is alive and will return on “Code Geass: Fukkatsu no Lelouch” (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection).
While the trailer started off showing Zero’s helmet, it did not exactly show Leluch himself. An eye bearing the Geass symbol is shown at the end instead.
The trailer also showcased returning characters and hints that the “Zero Requiem” which Lelouch orchestrated to achieve world peace is not working out as planned.
