Aspiring filmmakers who love challenges may want to sign up for the 2017 Begadang Filmmaking Competition.

Unlike other short film competitions, this one requires participants to create a five-minute film within 34 hours.

The competition starts on Sept. 2 at 8 a.m. Indonesia Central Time Zone (WITA). On the following day, before the clock strikes 6 p.m., the participants need to complete the filmmaking process, including story development, screenwriting, shooting, sound recording and editing, and send it online to the committee.

To ensure that the participants conduct the entire process within the set period of time, the committee said in a press release that it would announce the audio visual elements required in the film only on Sept. 2 at 8 a.m.
