oogle Maps has added new planets and moon to its solar system feature on Monday, allowing users to catch a more complete view of our solar system.
According to Gizmodo, Google Maps previously provided virtual tours only to the Moon, Mars and the International Space Station. The new addition allows users to make virtual trips to Mercury, Venus, Mars and Pluto, as well as the three Galilean moons Ganymede, lo and Europa.
Google product manager Stafford Marquardt said on the company’s blog that a total of 12 new worlds had been added to the service, with images gathered from NASA and the European Space Agency.

Marquardt credited astronomical artist Bjorn Jonsson for assembling the maps of Jupiter's moons Europa and Ganymede, as well as Saturn's Rhea and Mimas moons.
By accessing this link, users can marvel at the icy plains of Enceladus and take a closer look at the massive crater of Mimas, two moons that orbit Saturn.
“For extra fun, try zooming out from the Earth until you’re in space!” wrote Marquardt. (jes/kes)
