The film’s producer Mira Lesmana and director Riri Riza announced the achievement on Miles Films’ official Instagram account on Thursday, stating that Humba Dreams was the only Indonesian film at the event.
According to kompas.com, Humba Dreams is currently in the post-production stage. The movie follows a young film student in Jakarta who is asked to return to his village in Pulau Humba (a native word for Sumba Island in East Nusa Tenggara). He then receives unused celluloid, leading him to process the films and discover his own identity. (jes/kes)
