Indonesian action star Joe Taslim has left for South Africa to shoot Warrior, an American TV series produced by Cinemax.
As reported by kompas.com, Joe confirmed he would leave on Thursday for Cape Town to start work on the war drama created by Fast & Furious‘ Justin Lin and Banshee co-creator Jonathan Tropper.
"I'll only be there for two weeks, for one episode. Then next year I'll continue again. A TV show [shoot] is quite long," Joe said on Wednesday in Jakarta.
The 36-year-old actor remained tight-lipped about his role, which would be his first appearance in a US-produced TV show.

As previously reported by Deadline.com, Warrior tells the story of the brutal Tong Wars and is set in San Francisco's Chinatown in the late 1800's.
Joe will portray Li Yong, a tong lieutenant and kung fu master.
Confirmed cast members in the a period crime drama include Andrew Koji, Olivia Cheng, Jason Tobin, Dianne Doan, Kieran Bew and Dean Jagger.
Featuring 10 episodes, Warrior is said to be inspired by legendary martial artist Bruce Lee.

Principal photography began on Oct. 22 in the South African city, according to an Instagram post shared by Tropper, who wrote the caption "After 2 years we are finally here. #Warrior shoot Day 1. #capetown". (liz/asw)
