abinet ministers showed off their musicality during the wedding reception of State Secretary Pratikno’s daughter at the Jogja Expo Center (JEC) on Saturday.
Transportation Minister Budi Karya played the guitar, while beside him; Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati played the tambourine while wearing a black kebaya.
Public Works and Public Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono provided the beats on drums, while Presidential Chief of Staff Teten Masduki and Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi took on vocals. Manpower Minister Hanif Dhakiri also showed off his guitar and vocal skills on the occasion.

Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) head Triawan Munaf played the keyboards and Home Minister Tjahjo Kumolo lent his vocals as well. The ministers called their impromptu band Elek Yo (How Ugly), and performed a number of popular songs, including Slank’s “Ku Tak Bisa” (I Can’t), which was requested by President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, who was also present, God Bless’ “Rumah Kita” (Our House), Iwan Fals hit “Bento”, and another Slank hit, “Balikin.”
“Yes, we performed together during Pak Pratikno’s daughter’s wedding in Yogyakarta today at 11 a.m.,” Minister Budi confirmed with tribunnews.com. (asw)
