ariah Carey has defied countless stereotypes by 'staying' at a hostel instead of the luxurious and expensive five-star hotels she’s probably used to.

Starring in a commercial for Hostelworld, a booking website for travelers on a budget, Carey is seen pulling up in front of a hostel with her jet-black vintage limo. Clearly, the staff at the hostel are in for a surprise.

In her classy cat walk and golden heels, Carey strolls through the hostel’s lobby with her crew and Louis Vuitton bags, unsuspecting that something might be amiss.

When she reaches the reception desk, the singer is not impressed to learn that her secretary has booked her into a hostel instead of the usual five-star hotel.

But the good and understanding diva she is, Carey decides to go with the flow. She even sets an example for her crew by telling them to “deal with it!”.

They bring her to the 'private' room, only to find that somebody will be sharing the bunk with them.

The room looks clean and the bed is up to her standards. It seems Mariah Carey won’t mind staying for the night.

Finally, they bring her to the bar, and that’s when Carey no longer seems to care that she’s in a hostel.

She throws a performance in the bar, with doves flying and a mysterious indoor wind blowing in her hair. (ely/wng)
