Asia’s Got Talent is set to conduct the online audition for its third season from May 16 to July 9.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television-owned pay-TV channel AXN, the audition will be open to the public without any restrictions in terms of background or talent, be it dancing, acrobatics, comedy, magic, athletics, singing or musical instruments.

“Surprise, wow and entertain us – take this chance for your future,” Derek Wong, the vice president of production for Sony Pictures Television Networks in Asia, said in a press release. “AXN offers contestants from more than 15 countries in Asia […]. The finalists who appeared in previous seasons have done international shows.”

Those interested in participating may upload their audition video with a maximum duration of two minutes, including a short introduction of themselves and their talents.

Aside from the online auditions, AXN will also hold a series of offline auditions in big cities starting in June.

Last year, Indonesian magician The Sacred Riana was crowned the winner of Asia's Got Talent. Using a scary and thrilling illusion, she amazed all of the judges as well as the audience. Her shows have been viewed more than 70 million times both on YouTube and Facebook.

“I hope Riana will inspire newer generation contestants to take the first step in pursuing their dream and participating in the online audition,” Wong said. (wir/kes)
